Blowing glass became a passion.

I first encountered glassblowing as a fine arts major at Emporia State University in Kansas in 1979. The furnaces were so hot I couldn’t believe they were letting us dip into them. It didn’t feel safe. I was hooked. After graduation, I did a little graduate study at the University of Kansas with the thought of eventually teaching glass in a university. I soon realized that all I really wanted to do was concentrate on my own work. I built my first private studio in Lawrence after leaving school, and have continued my practice all these years. In 1990 I married a painter in Oklahoma City, Heather McGee. I have since designed and executed the work by myself in my Oklahoma City backyard studio. I can’t imagine what else I would do. I hope that you enjoy my work. I would love for it to become a part of your collection and lifestyle. Don’t hesitate to contact me with questions.
